I am frustrated to say that I have encountered some GoDaddy website issues regarding screen reader accessibility after committing to a 3-year website contract deal. I am actively looking into ways to resolve these issues as soon as possible.
A significant part of my website vision was to ensure that the design and functionality were as accessible as possible, and unfortunately, the capabilities of GoDaddy have let me down.
Firstly, I apologize if any image descriptions are of poor quality or lack detail. The alt text box provided by GoDaddy has a ridiculously short character limit, which makes it challenging to provide the detailed descriptions I would like.
Additionally, the logo on the left or top of your screen is one part of the website that doesn't have an alt text option, so I will provide a logo description here.
This is my logo, which reads the words "Steady Space," with one word on each line in black. In between them is a walking cane, and the curved handle goes up towards the "steady" line. This logo comes in a few colors (black, white, yellow, and purple) in the font "Montserrat." I chose this font style for my logo and on the site to ensure it is easier for readers.
My logo was designed by an incredible social media professional named Will, who is also a proudly Disabled, Neurodivergent working professional with a Visual Impairment, which adds to my frustration!
Please be assured that I will provide feedback to my website provider about these GoDaddy website issues, and a big thanks to Will for taking on this commission and perfectly capturing my vision. Adding my beloved cane was their idea, not mine!
